"What if Pokemon went HD-2D instead of 3D?"

No matter how you feel about Sw/Sh and the whole "dexit" situation, there's no doubt that 3D models require more resources and rendering than sprites. At base, there's just more room for things to go wrong, and it takes more resources to make everything look as polished as sprites would be.But recently, with retro revival games like Octopath Traveler, we've seen there's a market for a cleaned up, polished version of 2D sprites.So, how would y'all feel if Pokemon went HD-2D for its main games?
