"The Lead-Up to Opal Was Brilliant"

I am just starting to play Sword and Shield and I have my share of thoughts. I'm here to say how much I enjoyed the route to Opal. Trip through an enchanted mushroom forest visited by actual evil imps AS WELL AS the highly sought-after Galarian Ponyta. A strange city in the woods filled with identical children talking to walls, which is so attractive to mischief that it is haunted long-distance from Hammerlocke. A strangely high degree of reference to kind-of sinister fairy Pokemon playing tricks on people-- or maybe controlling the city??-- against a backdrop of magic mushrooms. And then, the surreality of the theatre and performances by women hovering between young and old in this isolated forest that seems beyond time itself. Finally, the wizard Opal, who can affect my Pokemon with fey-like abilities and, as a parting shot, abducts the orphan Bede to the forest.Pokemon absolutely outdid itself with this one. A+++ fey vibes. Thank you for this crazy celebration of fey fairy Pokemon and showing a shady side that, frankly, goes well beyond flowers and cotton candy. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3l6iyiP
