"Day 1 player: Leaving this addiction behind"

#PokemonGO: As a player from day 1, who has spent a few hundred dollars year to year, I completely understand why Niantic is hoping to recapture some of the magic of 2016, with changes to promote in person playing…However, these changes don’t make me want to walk to the park. They make me feel like it’s time to move on. I’ve spent hundred of dollars on this game. Making it more expensive, while limiting the pool of players to raid with, made this an easy decision that it is finally time to walk away. The game has been crashing almost daily on my new iPhone 14. Never loading properly, always crashing. So, I deleted the game from my phone a few days ago and I can’t stop realizing how much I would instinctively reach for my phone in the car and anywhere really. I decided I am not going to download it back. I am going to walk away from this thankless pit of time and money. Between the instability of the game, the price gouging, and lack of support, I don’t think I’ll regret this decision. Thank you Pokémon go for the friends, but I will not stay for this new wave of disappointing content, price increases and lack of developer polish. It’s just a disease now. Please, if you feel this way too, let’s move on together. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/Ev0agso
