"Stranger Danger in the Campfire App"

#PokemonGO: I can't believe how many sketchy convos I've already seen in the Campfire App after I got access last week.Don't give rides to people you don't know. Someone in the local group I'm in was asking for people to give them a ride to a raid that was just a few minutes away, which everyone seemed to ignore.I know players want to throw up flares to bring others to their location to play with them, but be aware of where you do it. You have no idea who is going to show up and you don't want to throw up a flare near where you live and suddenly you've got a complete stranger knowing exactly where you live because they decided to follow you home. Someone was throwing out flares at 2am one night which is a disaster waiting to happen.Just because this is Pokémon, a generally beloved IP, does not mean that every player is a good person or has your best interests at heart. Do not put your personal safety at risk for anything in the game.Campfire can be a fantastic tool when used for it's intended purpose and I do think it will help revitalize local communities. We should all be safe when using it and remember not to be lulled into a false sense of security just because we're interacting with others who play the game. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/Dj3hrTg
