"Generation 7 appreciation post!"

I feel like sun and moon are at that point in their life where everyone kinda forgets that they exist, so I wanted to talk about them for a bit. They’re SEVEN years old 😔 I absolutely love the aesthetics of alola, the character designs, the tropical islands, the Pokémon, the music, it’s very cozy.Sun and moon still have the best characters in the series. I love Lillie and her family’s story, and the aether foundation. Team skull is fantastic and goofy, the trial leaders are great, and kukui is a fun professor that has some prevalence in the story. The Hawaiian inspired setting led to a lot of fun designs, such as alolan exeggutor, trumbeak, and sandyghast. The style and graphics are very pleasant for a 3ds game.The game is very linear, and it definitely leads you down a narrow path through ought the story, but I think the railroading is tolerable aside from the bloated unskippable tutorials.I remember the excitement around sun and moon, but I feel like it died very quickly after the game released.
