"I get the excitement for new Prestige system, but isn't the nerf on Defense a bit too much?"

#PokemonGO: Don't get me wrong, this is not a rant. I'm ok with the increase in Prestige gained from the attacking side, the underdog teams will benefit from it and sort of balance it out in the long run.My concern is for the new Prestige system on Defense. This morning I went for a Gym upgrade just to realize that 4 Pokemon gave me 1,1k instead of a bit more than 2k. I mean, HALF of what I got before. Eventually, I left the gym there without training it up. Honestly, I think it's a bit too much. Level 10 Gyms are going to be even more rare and I don't think people would be willing to invest a lot of time in capturing and leveling gyms knowing they wouldn't last for a day...
