"Lapras CP too low to use as gym defender"

#PokemonGO: Gyms in my area now range from 3400cp-2700cp (in 15/17 level 10 gyms I have seen in the last couple of days) which is higher than most peoples Lapras. This has occurred because the game has been going long enough that the majority of players have multiple Gyarados, Dragonite, Rhydon, Vaporeon and to a lesser extent Snorlax, all of which have higher CP. Nobody wants to sit at the bottom of a gym so we are all putting in worse defenders. So far we have lost all Poliwraths, Eggsecutors and now Lapras as defenders you will see in gyms.
