"Let's talk strategy for the Valentine's week event"

#PokemonGO: So from 11am PST Feb 8 (today) to 11am PST Feb 15 (next Wednesday) we get double candy. How do we get the max benefit of this bonus?I'm currently walking Grimer to finish my regional gen 1 dex. After that, I'm torn between walking my strongest team for more power ups vs. walking mons that have a gen 2 evolution. What are the top strongest of gen 1 and gen 2 combine? Which gen 2 should take priority over dragonite, snorlax, etc?Of course it depends on our goals: finish dex vs. getting the strongest team possible. Perhaps we can attain both somehow.
