"Kalos' story has so many holes/unfinished storylines and it bothers me"

X and Y was a great step in the new direction Pokémon was going, introducing not only 3D but a new type and a new battle mechanic. Sadly, the story aspect lacked, with meh rivals and what I think is an incomplete story. We get a lot of backstory as to why Team Flare has the Ultimate Weapon, and how one of the Kalosian legendaries plus the life energy of many Pokémon is used to power it to destroy. It sums up the story of AZ and how, after 3,000 years, he is finally reunited with his smol fairy. What is fails to explain, however, is how Xerneas and Yveltal have anything to do with each other.Maybe I'm missing something here, but I've played through both X and Y and I don't remember a single NPC that even hinted at there being a second legendary Pokémon in Kalos besides whichever the box legend is. Here we have opposing Pokémon, life and death, yet only in the spin-off games and the anime are they pitted against each other.Not only that, but they aren't just a duo, they're just two in a trio of legends. But alas, not only have the three never appeared in the same story, Zygarde didn't even get its true power to balance the two legends until the generation after it was introduced. By the way, where was Zygarde when AZ nearly eradicated all life? Zygarde is supposed to protect the world's ecosystem, yet it seems to do a piss-poor job of it anywhere other than the XYZ anime. It didn't go after AZ, it didn't try to stop Team Flare, and it couldn't even find the motivation to build itself and protect Alola from alien Pokémon from an alternate dimension! Some ecosystem protector.When will we see the full story of Kalos? How does Zygarde play into the history of its own region rather than another one far away? Why is AZ's Floette so much different from others (besides the immortality)? What happens if Xerneas and Yveltal interact? When will Zygarde actually do its job?
