"People reporting a nest for the first time need to be able to add their comments to the initial report"

#PokemonGO: I saw that there was discussion on this exact topic about 4 months ago, but since then there hasn't been any update on the matter (at least as far as I can see), and I want to speak about it again.Travelers reporting nests should be able to add a comment to the initial nest report. Otherwise, individuals looking to provide some more information about the nest are forced to add a comment like any other user would, which results in the nest being validated despite the fact that no one else has actually validated it.Up here in the Greater Boston Area we have a Drowzee nest surrounding a pond in the Blue Hills Reservation. During three separate trips to that location I discovered a Charmander. In the exact same spot every time. And I encountered it 4 times in total. Pretty convinced that it was a spawn point, I went to the Atlas and marked it down, but wanted to explain my reasons for marking it in case anyone scanning the area wanted to help confirm my suspicions. Except that comment immediately confirmed the nest, which was not my intention at all.Adding the functionality to allow the original nest reporter to leave a comment without confirming the nest would go far to prevent this sort of false data. A potential second option is just don't allow comments from the same user who reported the nest in the first place to count as a confirmation (which is what I expected would happen when I commented). Ideally both of these ideas together could ensure that no false confirmations can occur, but reporters can get their thoughts out to the greater community.Devs have been absolutely fantastic with this site and resource, and I'm sure there's plenty of other things to be worked on right now, but this is just a reminder about what I think is a much needed change to the Atlas. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2m0alOQ
