"Gen 3 Predictions: Move Sets of Fully Evolved Pokemon (Legendaries)"

#PokemonGO: Hi and welcome back to the FINAL Gen 3 Predictions. These are a weekly post to promote discussion about potential movesets for Generation 3 Pokemon. I am going to be leaving off Deoxys and Jirachi because thus far we have had no news that Mythical pokemon will ever be released.Sceptile to ShiftrySwellow to ExploudHariyama to ManectricPlusle to CameruptTorkoal to SeviperLunatone to MiloticCastform to WalreinHuntail to MetagrossPurposeOne of the big changes that came with generation 2 was a move set reshuffle. New moves were added, most older moves were adjusted and re-balanced, and older Pokemon had their learn-able moves change. I decided to take a look at Generation 3 Pokemon and see if I could predict what might be in store whenever generation 3 launches. Something to keep in mind is that moves as we know them will change so for example, Fire Spin/Overheat may no longer be an amazing move set and Heat Wave could become the Outrage of Fire and now reigns king. One thing to note, I am disregarding wildly out of place moves (such as Solar Beam Typhlosion or Fire Blast Slowking). While I am sure they will happen, I see no point trying to predict them.MovesHere I will include a list of new moves I am predicting we might see with Generation 3. You will see these moves throughout my posts. I will not guess the DPS or damage of them, just that they will make an appearance. This will only update to reflect moves I plan to cover in the current post or have been covered in previous posts.MoveTypeStyleAbsorbGrassQuickAqua JetWaterQuick (Was Charge)Arm ThrustFightingQuickBlaze KickFireChargeDisarming VoiceFairyQuick (Was Charge)Earth PowerGroundChargeFacadeNormalChargeFairy WindFairyQuickHigh Jump KickFightingChargeKnock OffDarkQuick*Luster PurgePsychicChargeMagnitudeGroundQuickMeteor MashSteelCharge*Mist BallPsychicCharge*Muddy WaterWaterChargePursuitDarkQuickSky UppercutFightingChargeSlashNormalChargeWater SpoutWaterCharge*Not fully committed to the idea that it will be introducedRegirock - Rock - Max CP: 3087Attack: 179Defense: 356Stamina: 160Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Rock Throw: The first Rock move learned by Regirock is also conveniently the only Rock Quick move.Charge Beam: An early move for Regirock and naturally learned.Charge Moves:Stone Edge: The strongest Rock move Regirock learns naturally.Zap Cannon: Following the theme from Charge Beam and naturally learned.Hyper Beam: The last and strongest move Regirock learns.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Charge Beam, Hidden Power, Mud-Slap, Rock Smash, Rock ThrowCharge Moves:Ancient Power, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Dig, Dynamic Punch, Earthquake, Fire Punch, Focus Blast, Hyper Beam, Ice Punch, Iron Head, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Stomp, Stone Edge, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Punch, Zap CannonRegice - Ice - Max CP: 3087Attack: 179Defense: 356Stamina: 160Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Frost Breath: The only Quick Ice Regice can learn at all. Does not learn it naturally.Charge Beam: This will be the same amongst all three Regi's, they all learn it naturally.Charge Moves:Ice Beam: The strongest Ice type move that Regice learns, could possibly be Blizzard if they want to maintain aa similar layout between Regi moves.Zap Cannon: This will be the same amongst the three Regi's but could be replaced by Ancient Power instead as all three learn both.Hyper Beam: Another one that will be the same for all three Regis. Not many Pokemon learn Hyper Beam naturally and the Regis are a perfect option for it.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Charge Beam, Frost Breath, Hidden Power, Mud-Slap, Rock SmashCharge Moves:Ancient Power, Avalanche, Blizzard, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Dynamic Punch, Earthquake, Flash Cannon, Focus Blast, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Ice Punch, Icy Wind, Iron Head, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Signal Beam, Stomp, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Punch, Zap CannonRegisteel - Steel - Max CP: 2261Attack: 143Defense: 285Stamina: 160Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Metal Claw: The first Steel move that Registeel learns naturally.Charge Beam: A continuation of the pattern for the three Regis.Charge Moves:Iron Head/Flash Cannon: The two Steel Charge moves that Registeel learns naturally. Both are possible but I would predict that Flash Cannon is more likely.Zap Cannon: A continuation of the pattern but could be Ancient Power.Hyper Beam: The last move for all three Regis and a very likely move.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Charge Beam, Hidden Power, Metal Claw, Mud-Slap, Rock Smash, Shadow ClawCharge Moves:Aerial Ace, Ancient Power, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Dynamic Punch, Earthquake, Flash Cannon, Focus Blast, Hyper Beam, Ice Punch, Iron Head, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Stomp, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Punch, Zap CannonLatias - Dragon/Psychic - Max CP: 3377Attack: 228Defense: 268Stamina: 160Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Dragon Breath: The first Dragon type Quick move that Latias learns naturally.Zen Headbutt: The only Psychic type Quick move that Latias learns naturally.Charge Moves:Dragon Pulse: The only other Dragon type move that Latias learns naturally other than Dragon Breath.Psychic: The strongest Psychic type move that Latias learns naturally.Mist Ball: This is the unqiue move of Latias however it may not necessarily be introduced since moves like Psystrike, Aeroblast, and Sacred Fire were never introduced. That being said, if it is not introduced, there is not obvious other move for Latias to be given here. It would be something that Latias does not learn naturally.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Charge Beam, Cut, Dragon Breath, Fury Cutter, Hidden Power, Mud-Slap, Shadow Claw, Steel Wing, Zen HeadbuttCharge Moves:Aerial Ace, Body Slam, Bulldoze, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Energy Ball, Grass Knot, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Magic Coat, Outrage, Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Solar Beam, Swift, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Water PulseLatios - Dragon/Psychic - Max CP: 3644Attack: 268Defense: 228Stamina: 160Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Dragon Breath: The first Dragon type Quick move that Latios learns naturally.Zen Headbutt: The only Psychic type Quick move that Latios learns naturally.Charge Moves:Dragon Pulse: The only other Dragon type move that Latios learns naturally other than Dragon Breath.Psychic: The strongest Psychic type move that Latios learns naturally.Luster Purge: The same reasoning as Latias however if I had to guess for a non-signature move here, it would probably be Hyper Beam.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Charge Beam, Cut, Dragon Breath, Fury Cutter, Hidden Power, Mud-Slap, Shadow Claw, Steel Wing, Zen HeadbuttCharge Moves:Aerial Ace, Body Slam, Bulldoze, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Energy Ball, Grass Knot, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Magic Coat, Outrage, Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Solar Beam, Swift, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Water PulseKyogre - Water - Max CP: 4874Attack: 297Defense: 276Stamina: 200Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Hidden Power: Kyogre has a large move pool but very little options for Quick moves. None are learned naturally.???: I doubt Dive, Surf, Whirpool, or Waterfall will be introduced as a Quick move but if they are they would be a perfect fit for Kyogre so that Kyorge could have a STAB quick move.Charge Moves:Water Spout: This is Kyogre's signature move in the original games and only learned by a few Water Pokemon. It is also it's strognest move in most situations.Ice Beam: Learned naturally and would make a good coverage option for Kyogre.Thunder: Not learned naturally but it is very fitting with Kyogre's ability Drizzle which gives Thunder 100 accuracy.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Hidden Power, Mud-Slap, Rock SmashCharge Moves:Ancient Power, Aqua Tail, Avalanche, Blizzard, Body Slam, Brick Break, Brine, Bulldoze, Earthquake, Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Iron Head, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Scald, Signal Beam, Swift, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Water PulseGroudon - Ground - Max CP: 4874Attack: 297Defense: 276Stamina: 200Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Mud Shot: The first Ground move that Groudon learns naturally.Dragon Tail: This could be a lot of things and none of which are learned naturally. I chose Dragon Tail as the most likely because it would be the most likely option used in th original games (unless this is Hidden Power to match Kyogre).Charge Moves:Eruption: This is Groudon's signature move in the original games and only learned by a few other Frie Pokemon. It is also it's strognest move in most situations.Earthquake: The strongest STAB move (until the gen 6 remakes) learned by Groudon and also learned naturally.Solar Beam: This may seem out of place to some but it is learned naturally and it is very fitting with Groudon's ability Drought which allowed Solar Beam to not need to charge for a turn. It is also thematically fitting with Groudon's lore of creating intense sun.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Cut, Dragon Tail, Fury Cutter, Hidden Power, Iron Tail, Mud Shot, Mud-Slap, Rock Smash, Shadow ClawCharge Moves:Aerial Ace, Ancient Power, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Dynamic Punch, Earthquake, Eruption, Fire Blast, Fire Punch, Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Hyper Beam, Iron Head, Overheat, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Solar Beam, Stone Edge, Swift, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder PunchRayquaza - Dragon/Flying - Max CP: 4354Attack: 312Defense: 187Stamina: 210Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Dragon Tail: While this is not learned naturally, it is the only Dragon Quick move that Rayquaza learns.Air Slash: The only Quick move that Rayquaza learns naturally and a good option for Flying type STAB.Charge Moves:Outrage: The strongest Dragon type move that Rayquaza learns naturally.Crunch: Rayquaza learns Crunch naturally and very early on. That being said, if Fly is intorduced, Rayquaza is one of three Pokemon who learn Fly naturally and it would make a very good option for a Charge move here.Hyper Beam: The last move that Rayquaza learns naturally and a very good candidate for it's last Charge move, Extremespeed could replace this if it is introduced.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Air Slash, Dragon Tail, Fury Cutter, Hidden Power, Iron Tail, Mud-Slap, Rock Smash, Shadow ClawCharge Moves:Aerial Ace, Ancient Power, Aqua Tail, Avalanche, Blizzard, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Crunch, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Energy Ball, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Gyro Ball, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Iron Head, Overheat, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Solar Beam, Stone Edge, Swift, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Twister, Water Pulse via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2fDVMw8
