"Quick Analysis of Item Drop Rate 14Nov"

#PokemonGO: About 5 days ago, I posted an analysis of drop rate of items from gyms and pokestops, http://ift.tt/2mqJ8H6 the analysis, it was noticeable from me that gyms dropped fewer balls and better potions and revives compare to pokestops. This is a welcome change for me, because a trainer that wishes to catch and grind stardust can just focus spinning pokestops to get more balls, while those that do a lot of raiding and battling can spin more gyms to get more potions and revives. However, in past 3 days, the drop rate has change again. This post is a quick analysis to this changes; thus several things need to be clear before proceeding furtherThe quick analysis sample is to analyze the change quantitatively in quick manner, as I noticed the drop rate change about every 2 weeks. The sample is small because I'm a casual players, about 31 gyms and 64 pokestops spun, also as per point number 1, this is a quick analysis. The gyms is a mixture of gold, silver, bronze and no medal gyms. Also the gym data has both my team and other team occupying it at some point during the spinningFor simplicity, I combine different kind of berries, balls, potions and revives. Please find the results belowData from gymItemAmountPercentageBerries4524%Balls8847%Potions2513%Revives3116%Data from PokestopItemAmountPercentageBerries3818%Balls16377%Potions105%Revives21%As per the result of the quick analysis, you can see the drop rate for both potions and revives is incredibly low especially from pokestops, with only 2 revives from 64 spun. Balls drop rate are still high for both gym and pokestop and I assume it will not change anytime soon.Again, the sample is small, and not a suitable comparison to the previous post, so whoever have a bigger sample size that could confirm the numbers is highly appreciated. The question now is, will the drop rate changes every 2 weeks (more or less) or is this something that Niantic still figuring in regards to a balance drop rate. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2zFVv7q
