"Sudden influx of spoofers"

#PokemonGO: Good day. I live in a small university town with a reasonably tight group. We make up about 100 players, with no more than a small handful of spoofers that have not been much of issue to anyone. Suddenly, within the past couple of hours, we have seen an incredible amount of spoofers in all gyms, skimming us out, and turning the gyms around every half hour or so, instantly filling them in the process.
