"Kira (AKA Lost In Translation with Lucky Pokémon)"
#PokemonGO: I just thought I'd share some Japanese language translation information. Lucky Pokémon are not called Lucky Pokémon in Japanese, in fact it'd be very confusing if it was because Chansey's Japanese name is Lucky (ラッキー), so lucky is already taken. So what is it that they are called, you ask? Kira (キラ), which basically translates to shiny, which is a little confusing, except shinies aren't called shinies either, they are called Irochigai (色違い), which just means different color. So basically...Chansey is Lucky.Lucky is Shiny.Shiny is Different Color.Source for Kira (from a friend's phone). https://ift.tt/2uGefAp I also just realized the Pokedex image in Japanese specifies number of lucky Pokemon caught rather than just saying 'lucky'. So it doesn't just mean encounter and it means they are caught and not just traded. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2uHiETv
