"I designed Regisky, Regiground, Regitox, and Regiroot!"

https://ift.tt/2EvUIt1 having so much fun with these. These designs are for a fan-game that I'm thinking of. If you're new to this series, once the player defeats the Elite Four for the first time, the real fun begins. The player can choose between three post-game routes for a gameplay experience that truly suits them. All the Regis are exclusive to the Adventure Route. In the Adventure Route, the player is introduced to a much more open world, based more on adventure, puzzles, creative thinking, dungeons, side-quests, and filling up the pokedex with exclusives, variants and legendaries. The gameplay of the Adventure Route focuses less on battling, as the player will inevitably become overpowered after too long. So, each quest will offer a new adventure that the player and their pokemon will be challenged by in entirely new ways. Many of these side-quests result in the discovery of these mythical Regis.Regisky (Flying)Dex Entry: Regisky never leaves high altitudes, and can fly at speeds of over 500km/h. It uses its hollow body to channel pressurized winds at nearby foes.In-Game: When playing through the Adventure Route, they player can unlock a new mechanic wherein they train specific flying pokemon to reach new heights, maneuver through complex obstacles and discover new areas. The better you train whichever flying pokemon you use, the rarer the locations you can stumble upon. The character would be taught this mechanic as a way to collect rare items in hard-to-access locations for side-quests, however they would be given the benefit of discovering new hidden towns, new npcs, and exclusive pokemon. This mechanic allows for higher and higher flying as the player gets more skilled. Eventually, the player encounters gusts of strong winds, finally leading to a hurricane high in the atmosphere. If the player maneuvers the clouds correctly, they find themselves in a dungeon in the sky. NPCs in this dungeon beg for the player’s help in saving them from the storm. Eventually, the player encounters a very agitated Regisky, generating the strong winds. When the player either defeats or catches it, the winds will dissipate, and reveal that the dungeon was actually a secret floating island with a small town on it (complete with its own pokemon center). Regiground (Ground)Dex Entry: Regiground was born from layers of sediment buried deep below the earth. Legends say that it will leave trails of gemstones that fall from its bottom layer.In-Game: The player will come across a town built into a gem-mining site. The town is embedded into a large crater that people have been digging into for many years. However, this town has been getting attacked by ground-type pokemon recently, all of which have been rising up from the newest drilling site. They ask for the player’s help to discover the source of the problem and put a stop to it. The player makes friends with an NPC in the mine, and the two go on an adventure through the caves to find the source of the problem. The only way to get through the dungeon is to solve a myriad of puzzles based trails of gemstones. Eventually, the player and the NPC find a section of the cave that has been caved in, and filled with old mining equipment. Inside, there is a trapped Regiground, throwing attack after attack at its surroundings, causing earthquakes and frightening pokemon in the cave. The NPC realizes that their mining operation has trapped Regiground, and asks for your help in freeing it. After you free it, the NPC vows to scout out caves before bringing in drilling equipment, so as to not destroy the homes of any pokemon dwelling within. Regiground accepts the apology, and offers to battle the player as a peace offering. The player can catch Regiground at this point, and bring it along with them. Regitox (Poison)Dex Entry: Regitox’s stretchy body is made of a viscous liquid that is toxic to any creature that comes into contact with it. Its large pustules are filled with a deadly poison, however have been known to release fungal spores when it attacks.In-Game: One area of the expanded region in the Adventure Route is populated almost entirely by poison-type pokemon, which all seem to congregate in a swampy tar-pit section. This tar pit is difficult to navigate, as the player can easily sink into the sludge and get stuck. This section becomes easier to navigate when riding on certain poison-type pokemon such as Nidoking to help you trudge through the deep end without drowning. Upon doing this, the player can unlock new areas populated with exclusive poison-type pokemon, and can complete some side quests. In one of these sections, the player will come across a cave seemingly made of tar and sludge. The further into the cave the player goes, the more toxic the environment becomes. Eventually, the player’s team will become poisoned just by being in the cave. If the player uses healing items, their pokemon will be immediately poisoned once again after exiting the menu. Their pokemon’s health will drop steadily, and more quickly the further into the cave they go. Their only hope is to either black out and return to the nearest Pokemon Center, or to leave the cave. The only way to get further into this cave is to complete a related side-quest where the player is given ten “Vaccine Balls” as a prize. Vaccine Balls are a special kind of pokeball that keep whatever pokemon is inside safe from being poisoned in any situation (These balls are incredibly useful outside of this quest as well. Choose wisely which pokemon you catch with them). The player will need to build a team using these balls, and take that team into the Tar Cave. Deep at the heart of the dungeon will be Regitox, ready to battle. There are also NPCs in this cave that fight using pokemon caught with Vaccine Balls, and if the player knows where to look, they can find a small village of bog-people, complete with a pokemon center and a market that only sells mushrooms. This village is just novelty.Regiroot (Grass)Dex Entry: Regiroot is made of a thick bark which has been known to grow any manner of recorded plant life. Oxygen levels spike significantly within a 100-yard radius of it.In-Game: At one section of the expanded region in the post-game Adventure Route, a good chunk of the place is made up of varying kinds of forests. Deep in the center where the trees grow to towering heights, the player will find a shrine with braille-instructions asking for new plants. In the lore of the game, Regiroot can grow any species of plant on its back, and is always looking for new ones to add to its library. If the player scouts the lands and brings exotic plants to the shrine, Regiroot will come, judge the plant and leave at varying levels of excitement. Should the player find a truly exceptional plant, Regiroot will get very excited and allow you to battle it. After the encounter, a large tree will be growing in Regiroot’s shrine based on whichever plant the player brought it. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2QOSIS3
