"Here's the definitive best way to tank your GBL rating, and farm *your* ideal rewards."

#PokemonGO: Inspired by this post, I figured it's time for this since no one seems to have done this. This assumes free battles ONLY. 1. Make a decent budget team.2. Get to R7 as fast as possible to increase dust rewards. No huge rush though, just don't take weeks.3. Throw every match until you drop to about 700-1000 (that's old season SR; just drop until matches are always easy). Also, if Master League is out, run it and throw most matches.4. Pick a method below. For the sake of simplicity, I won't nickle and dime everything or list bad return trade-offs. For example, there's one method where, per set, you can pay 0.5 RC for a measly 100 Dust. Ew. Also, I've adjusted the numbers a tiny bit for legibility. So here's your best options after calibrating down from going 0-5 a lot. This is the win-loss rate per set, with frequencies of aforementioned set to stay calibrated, followed by the average gains per set, as methods.1. 5-0 (50%), 0-5 (50%): 3450 Dust, 0.5 encounters, 1 RC2. 3-2 (86%), 0-5 (14%): 3150 Dust, 0 encounters, 1.72 RC3. 4-1 (62%), 0-5 (38%): 2950 Dust, 0.6 encounters, 1.27 RC Example: Under method 2, go 3-2 for 8.6 sets, then go 0-5 for 1.4 sets to recalibrate, and you'll average 31500 Dust + 17 RC across 10 sets. So if if we say we're using Method 2 (best one imo), all we need to know is:- Swap to Method 3, and for every encounter you get, you lose 200 dust (after catching) and 0.75 RC- Swap to Method 1, and for every encounter you get, you gain 1100 dust and lose 1.44 RC So ask yourself:"Do I care about encounters?" followed up with, "Which trade-off would I prefer for one?" .... if you reject both options, stick to #2.Also ask, "If I don't care about encounters, will I pay 0.72 RC for 300 Dust?" ... if so, Method 1, otherwise, Method 2 (but don't #2 in this case, that's a horribull trade-off).Keep in mind that under #1, if you run into someone that's also 'smurfing', you might be forced into #3 for a set. So them's the trade-offs after tanking. Pick whichever method you'd prefer based upon your reward goals. That's all that needs to be known (tried to keep it simple). via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2vot2mG
