"PSA: iOS 11 includes a new Screen Recording function"

#PokemonGO: The stable version of iOS 11 released today and is available to download. This new version of iOS features a screen recording function which is well-suited for recording gameplay on Pokémon Go.Steps to access the new function:1) Open Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls2) Scroll down to the "More Controls" list and tap on Screen Recording in order to add it to the "Include" list3) Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access Control Center4) Tap on the Screen Recording button (the button with concentric circles) to start recording5) A countdown timer will appear on the button to signify that screen recording is about to start6) Once the recording has started, the status bar at the top of the phone will turn red7) To stop recording, either access Control Center again by swiping from the bottom of the screen and tapping on the pulsating Screen Recording button or tap on the red status bar and select Stop8) The recording will now be in the Photos app, ready for viewing, editing, and uploading! There have been a few mentions of this feature in comments on this sub, but I made this post in case some travelers haven't heard the news. iOS users can now easily provide video proof of in-app phenomena and contribute data to test hypotheses (such as those testing the curveball bonus conditions).Enjoy, travelers!P.S. I'm pretty sure I used "PSA" correctly here, as this is a notice to the public about something which they may not have been aware of :+)e: formatting via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2xuTcmD
