"Solo Moltres in depth analysis"

#PokemonGO: I read about Moltres being easy enough to solo a couple of weeks ago, but there wasn't any concrete data backing up the claim so I figured I'd do my own research using Pokebattler.comI ran a couple of simulations with my team of 5 Smack Down/Stone Edge Tyranitars and here are the results. The numbers are averages and they are just an approximation, but it seems that Moltres will indeed be soloable with a TTW of around 260 seconds with the Partly Cloudy weather boost. It won't be possible without the Partly Cloudy weather boost.Edit: As u/CuttyWow stated below, if you have 6 high IV Tyranitars it might be possible to solo Moltres in neutral weather as well, if you have a good run.https://ift.tt/2LhlfxD details about the simmulations:Moltres has 7500 hp and 300 seconds to beatAll of the pokemon in the image posted above are Tyranitars with Smack Down and Stone EdgeTDO means Total Damage Output in the number of seconds that follow it before the specific Tyranitar feints.TTW is Time To Win, or an approximation of how fast that specific Tyranitar would beat the Moltres if it had infinite HP.All of Moltres-es Charge Moves were Dodged. So if you were to go with a no charge tactic, it would take you less time to beat it, but you would need around 11 or 12 Tyranitars or a fast enough phone to do quick revives. Now you may ask, "How will Moltres have 300 seconds? Isn't it like all the other lvl 4 bosses that have 180 seconds to beat?" Here is the explanation: Special raids during the 3 hour period only appear on gyms that are on the nearby list of active players. The raids do not appear on gyms that have no players around, I'm guessing they made it this way so that the servers aren't strained. So if somebody were to visit a gym, that no other player saw and activate during the 3 hour period, at lets say 14:25, the raid will appear with a 3 hour timer meaning that it will run out at 17:25. After the 3 hour period, the special raid boss will retain it's stats (7500 hp just like all tier 4 raids) but it will jump up to a tier 5 time bonus, so 300 seconds. So this is how you would be able to solo a Moltres raid. I hope I made myself clear enough, please let me know if I missed something or if I made a mistake.TL;DR Total of 7500 dmg in approximately 260 seconds with the Partly Cloudy weather boost, using 2 lvl 40 Tyranitarsand 3 lvl 35 Tyranitars, assuming all of Moltres-es charge moves are dodged.EDIT: Side effect of this analysis: you can clearly see that IVs don't actually matter that much when you look at the end results. The 98% and 62% lvl 35 Tyranitar have basically the same tdo/dps/ttw so general tip: stop worrying about perfect IVs. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2mDGU4B
