#PokemonGO: TL;DR: An big event was announced for today in Pokemon Go, promising lures lasting 4h and boosted Pikachu and Eevee spawn and shiny rates for the Let's Go release, and none of that happened.If you play in Lisbon, Portugal you probably know about this. This past week there was a lot of talk about an event, starting at 10am today.It was part of the Pokemon Let's Go launch party in a mall, El Corte Inglês, where there would be Switches for you to play in, and you could meet YouTubers who also enjoy the games. This was all delivered, we got to play the game, but part of the promises were increased spawns in Pokemon Go for the game's mascots, temporary pokestops and lure modules lasting from 10am to 2pm.These last promises were dropped. A huge amount of people showed up to play Pokemon Go, most of us left disappointed, and all of us empty-handed.It felt like a publicity stunt to call more people in, but a large multinational brand wouldn't risk making fake claims like those. I also spoke with event organizers and they said it was all supposed to happen, and they were clueless as to why it didn't, seeing as they reportedly contacted Niantic and got a response.I guess from that, the blame falls on Niantic.
