"Today I met my rival"

#PokemonGO: Like lots of you, I've had a on and off relationship with pokemon go. Long story short, I've started playing seriously again for about 8 months, and started grinding the ranks, now that I was late on the leveling.One player is particularly present in my city. Full of Chansey, he has one in most of the arenas in the city center, most days. His were my wall, taking sometimes longer than the clock to kill when I was trying to defeat him. And he defended, at most hours, and most arenas, even if I was mostly working the one I live above. I never saw him though.Time played its role, I got stronger, building some machamps and other counters to Chansey, and I started to defeat him. He was still healing quite fast, but I got at a point where I may have been costing him too many golden berries, and he started to let me take arenas when I was insistent, just to take them back after the fact.He seemed to accept the deal of me taking the arena just after midnight after a point, and we are still rolling like this most days, me by night, him by day. It felt good to be able to beat him, but I'm still behind in term of XP, and frankly a little salty by the fact that he most likely was flying most of the time.Well, today when going to wait for a Dialga eclosion, I got to chat with another player, quite nice guy, trading pleasantries and advice, before we traded usernames. What do you know ! I guess I spoiled it with the title though. So I was honest with him, and told him how he frustrated me for some time, and how I liked our current arrangement. I told him he was quite known around, lots of groups of players complained about him for a time before the CP nerf. He thought I was flying to my arena too given some reaction times I had, but I was just obsessed with beating him at a point, going for a full movie duration of attacking him non stop...We parted after that nice raid, and I was happy to put a face on a username. All in all, I'm a little less bitter now (even if nothing has changed) as I know for a fact he cheats flying from time to time, and I've stayed straight since the start.End of story time, thanks for reading me, I haven't got friend or family playing this game and nobody to chat about it with.Have you ever had a similar "rival" to your poke-adventures ? via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2VXSiYL
