"Huge personal milestone"
#PokemonGO: Yesterday, September 7th, exactly three years and two months since the day I started playing PoGo, I caught my 100,00th Pokémon! I have never used a PoGo Plus or Gotcha, so this really feels like an accomplishment. I decided to sit down and run some numbers and thought I would share them with y’all.~I downloaded this game on July 7th, 2016. Here’s how long it’s been since then:3.17 Years38 Months1,157 Days27,768 Hours1,666,080 minutes~My catch averages in that time span (I decided not to account for sleep or work time and use a 24-hour day instead of 12- or 18-hour):31,579 per year2,631 per month86 per day4 per hour1 every 17 minutes~Of those 100,000 Pokémon, 97,578 have been transferred. I’ve only kept 2.4% of my total catches (or traded and decided to keep what I got in exchange).~Breakdown of my catch typing: 27.4% Normal, 15.2% Flying, 13.2% Poison, 12.7% Grass, 11.8% Ground, 11.7% Fire, 11.6% Water, 10.9% Bug, 8.4% Rock, 7% Psychic, 4,8% Dark, 4.4% Fairy, 4.3% Fighting, 3.4% Electric, 2.2% Steel, 2.1% Ghost, 2.1% Ice, 1.4% Dragon~My top ten species caught (technically Pidgeotto came in at #8, but I’m excluding it since the VAST majority of them came from mass-evolving in the early days):Rattata 4,434Pidgey 4,133Ekans 2,967Growlithe 2,657Paras 2,548Geodude 2,473Sentret 2,355Mankey 1,935Houndour 1,865Snubbull 1,834~As I said earlier, these were all hand-caught. I usually only quick-catch when using a star piece, so I estimate my average catch time to be about 20 seconds. If that’s accurate, I have spent over 555 hours just looking at the catch screen since the release of Pokémon Go.I know that there are a lot more hardcore players than me out there, probably even some who’ve caught a million. But I’m excited and I like numbers, so hopefully some of y’all feel the same. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2A2qzgo
