"What Happened to Ryuki from SM and USUM???"

Sun and Moon and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon introduced my favorite pokemon league so far. Sure, its kind of easy, but I liked that it had character. I liked that the Elite 4 were characters we had met throughout the game (besides Kahili) and that the champion was Kukui in SM and Hau in USUM (both referencing the OG pokemon league). I also loved the title defense feature. When I was a kid, I always thought it was stupid that if you rebattled the E4 it always made you rechallenge the champion you already defeated. SM and USUM changed that to where you now DEFEND your title. Tangent aside, one of the challengers was Ryuki, and he stood out because every other challenger was a trainer we had already met in Alola. Who was this mysterious Ryuki? Was he a trainer from a region we hadn’t been to?? Many theorized he was a hint at the next games to come out. And once Galar was revealed, it kind of seemed like it was likely that could be his home. He looks like a typical UK punk rock artist. He easily could’ve had ties to team yell, or just been a traveling band member. Many pokemon in the region would have suited him, even though he is a dragon specialist. I could imagine him using Obstagoon, Rillaboom, and Toxtricity in a band. But alas, he was nowhere to be seen. And when gen 9 rolled around, he was M.I.A again. Will we ever see Ryuki again, and learn where he is from? Will we ever see him form a pokemon band? Even if we do, I feel that the lack of his inclusion in Galar was a huge miss, and even if he does show up again, it won’t have the same impact as him showing up in Galar would have. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/JcwogSn
