"[Theory] Unown is an Ultra Beast"

I rewatched Spell of the Unown: Entei today and came across some very convenient coincidences...For those of you who haven't seen it in a while:Professor Hale: anime character, a professor who knew Ash's Mom and Professor Oak. His wife disappeared some time ago, but he has a young daughter named Molly. Hale studies the Unown as an archeologist of some kind. His assistant is a young man named Skyler.Molly: anime character, a 5 year old girl who accidentally activates a bunch of tiles that summon Unown from an odd dimension to wreak havoc and drive the plot.Evidence #1So the plot of the movie is that while studying an odd set of ruins with his assistant Skyler, Professor Hale suddenly activates a set of small tiles and summons several Unown. Where do they appear from, you ask? Why, a small hole in the fabric of reality that they open from the other side.See for yourself.Another fun detail, when they first fly out of the ruins, they fly towards the moon, since it's night out... And open another portal. While flying at the moon. Hmm.The portal opening above Molly's head also looks suspiciously like a wormhole.Evidence #2The opening sequence has a picture book of legendary Pokemon. Molly is reading this book with her dad. The page of the Unown has them in a circular pattern, several of which aren't actual letters of the alphabet. (At the center, however, is a singular pupil with no black shape surrounding the eye. Could this be an ultra wormhole, or maybe the central part of the Unown Beast?)Besides this speculation, there is a piece of evidence regarding Hale's research. He says he's been researching them ever since.... And trails off. Since when? Could he not even know, because he has amnesia from being a Faller, but he remembers vague details about the creatures that transported him back and forth?Evidence #3Unown open dimensional portals, Hale has a gap in his memory despite his heavy study of these creatures... What's left? Those tiles. They seem charged up by some sort of electrical energy, as when Molly first touches them and they rise like magnets after she plays with them a bit. It takes her a while for them to work, but for Professor Hale, they zapped open instantly in his grip. The only possible energy source that could have come from a human being: Ultra Wormhole energy, which Hale had access to as a Faller. Some of it may have also rubbed off on Molly, hence her delayed reaction to it, or be residual energy from the extra tiles her father touched before he fell again. The ultra beast that is Unown was instantly attracted to Molly and Professor Hale because of their ultra energy!Evidence #4"But u/CrappyPunsForAll! This was Gen two. Pokemon didn't plan this far in advance, like, for real."Wrong. That book didn't just have a strange Unown form in it, it had a version of Solgaleo and Xurkitree. Don't believe me?About 39 minutes in, there's a shot of Delia Ketchum looking at the book. Make sure to pause and take a goooood long look. There's a picture of a sun looking over a field of flowers, with no legendary pokemon in it. The sun is really large and prominent though. Even better, There's a mark right on its forehead that EXACTLY matches Solgaleo's. Now, there is a bit of a difference between the rest of its body, but this is a page explicitly marked with a sun legendary and nothing else. Professor Hale already told us that these images are the artist's imagining, so they're allowed to fudge the details. Seems at least fishy. The Xurkitree is on the next page. Remember, the book is a picture of the artist's imaginings. You have to be quick to pause the screen to see it, but a girl with long, straight hair is riding a spiked, black and yellow Pokemon with no other facial features.Evidence #5:Hale is a faller. Don't try to tell me his convenient amnesia is a plot device OR lazy writing. When he falls through the portal, he even appears in space! Guess what happens right when he comes back? He wakes up, completely unconscious of the whole event. It's like he's been asleep. Even his wife is a part of this: she disappeared, not died. She even comes back in the credits, and neither Hale or the mom act like anything crazy has gone on. Can you blame Molly's imagination for cooking up a crazy crystal world ruled by an OP legendary dog with as close a resemblance to Solgaleo as gen 2 could get? Conclusion: Wake up sheeple. There's some speculation about the particulars, but Unown at least has ties to the ultra beasts, and there is serious foreshadowing of gen 7 stuff in this movie. Hale is without a doubt a faller, his wife is likely implicated, and even Molly's dream world is suspiciously like something out of an ultra wormhole.TL;DR: Unown opens ultra beast portals, Professor Hale has amnesia, there's some odd, human-based energy in some tiles, there's a freaking Solgaleo and Xurkitree in this movie, and characters frequently reappear and disappear in this family. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2idXRy8
