"General tips for Yokohama Go Fest Attendees (Spawns advice too)"

#PokemonGO: General Tips for Go Fest:Most Important: I cannot stress this enough, the heat is ridiculous. Please ensure you are taking the necessary precautions to stay hydrated and avoid direct sunlight for a long period of time.Go directly to Yamashita Park, even if your registered for Rinko/Akarenga, I strongly advise to skip them and go to Yamashita instead due to the great amount of spawn points.Take a print-out of your Trading goals (i.e. your "Have" & "Want" with icons is easiest to communicate).Arrive early to show people your sheet and get your 5 Trades settled as soon as the event starts. If you look foreign, people will come up to you very frequently asking for trades. Be polite and let them know you finished your trades already so neither of you waste your time.Vending machines are by the boat area and cold beverages are sold in the stalls near the park entrance. There a Happy Lawson at the end of the park as well but it get crowded easily. For reference, 500ml Evian Bottle was for 150 Yen at the stalls. There are a few drinking fountains throughout the park as well (however I haven't used them personally).Cover up from the sun, take a parasol/umbrella if you can, its a game-changer.Regionals are most sought out for, Parachisu & Carvinine are in high demand. Lake Trio & Torkoal follows next.(Needs to be confirmed) The word for Shiny is "Iro-chigai", in case your icons/trade sheet doesn't show it properly (e.g. Shiny Pichu)Spawn Tips (Yamashita):Common Spawns that spawn everywhere:Tailow, Poliwag, Swablu, Lotad, Burmy, Unown, Chatot, SnoruntPhoto References for the below: https://ift.tt/2yMejQL Side:There is a set of steps that take you to to a high platform. The farthest Pokestop is difficult to reach but the remaining four are easy once you get to the top. Most commonly found Tailow, Swablu, and Lotad. The next step of four Pokestops are in the Flying Biome, the beverage stalls are here and an open area in the middle with some decorations. The two southernmost stops of these four stops always rotated Aerodactyle, Scyther, Drifloom, Combee, Hoppip and occasionally Togetic. The remaining two stops also can spawn the above but most often they are common flying types such as Pidgey & Tailow. The next area looks like a big square with rectangles on the map, in reality its a garden area. Lots of common types but every now and then Flower Crown Eevee & Flower Crown Pikachu will appear inside the garden. The area between the Flying Biome and the garden by the waterside will often spawn the Flower Crown Duo. Sometimes in the water itself, so try and walk along the coast as often as you can.North Side:After the garden we have the Ice Biome, consist of three Pokestops spawning Ice types. While Snover is the most common here, you will easily find Sneasle, Snowy Castform, Absol and Lapras spawning frequently as well. If your lucky, you might see up to 4-6 Alolan Sandshrew at once if you are in the center of the three stops. Alolan Vulpix is the rarest and infrequently spawns, while Seel spawns as much as A-Sandshrew.(PRO TIP) - If you are using incense, always start it in this biome as it has a high chance of spawning A-Vulpix & Lapras.Immediately after the Ice Biome stops is the Water Biome.Clampearl, Marill, Luvdisc spawn like crazy here. Followed by Lileep, Poliwag & Flower Crown Duo (by the water-side). Slightly less frequently is Omanyte. Unfortunately Kabuto & Shellder were one of the rarer spawns. That's as much as I could put down based on my experience today, to those who attended Go Fest feel free to to add your own tips as well! via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2Tgqmik
