Gen 8 has been criticised, rightfully, for many things, but I really like how it’s all tied together these days and how well it works with the quality of life improvements. The battle-ready mark, the mints and bottle caps, the fact that you can use vitamins all the way now etc etc means I’ve been able to take stuff I’ve collected over the years and actually make use of them online. For example, I have a team with a Zacian that my brother managed to get for me along with a Regigigas I caught in Platinum over ten years ago, paired with a Kantonian Koffing I caught in Go, just outside my local gas station fittingly enough.Thanks to the mechanics of this gen I was easily able to refit these Pokemon and make them actually useful, and to me this just feels very wholesome. Hopefully the DP remakes continue improving on this, I myself hope for a reverse bottle cap that sets an IV to 0, for example. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2MRX4Ie
